Today the atmosphere was particularly clear, and Charlie enjoys listing all the landmarks they manage to pick out today. Just the one part of the route where tramlines and collieries spoilt things, but all in all a successful run.

The pleasures of Cycling, and a rant at Capitalism Wednesday 3 June 1925
Charlie has never once explained how he comes, from time to time, to be mysteriously available for a weekday cycle ride. It surely cannot be because he has the time to spare that is given to him by the Capitalist system? Either way, he feels free to give us his views on Capitalism anyway. And all this hot air whilst he enjoys the pleasures provided by one of Britain’s greatest philanthropists, Lord Leverhulme ! Especially the Zebra’s.
A New Companion for Today Saturday 30 May 1925
‘Joe’ a member of the competing Bolton Wheelers cycling club provides the entertainment for this Saturday afternoon run. The very strong wind provided some of the action, and coupled with their youthful enthusiasm for half wheeling each other and their passion for narrow paths and off-road cycling they made quite an afternoon of it.
