Wayfarer’s Centenary Ride 30th March 2019

The Rough Stuff Fellowship’s ex Chairman Steve Griffith is organising an informal ride over the Nant Rhyd Wilym Pass in the Berwyn mountains of North Wales on the above date.

Anyone wishing to attend are invited, if possible, to turn up on an ancient bike to add more atmosphere, but any model of bike would be OK.  If you want to wear fancy dress then we leave that part to you.

The point of contact of Steve Griffith is his email address: griffith531@hotmail.com       It is not an organised ride as such but an informal gathering.  It is also an opportunity to see the Memorial Stone erected by members of the Rough Stuff Fellowship in 1957.  If you wish to read the original story by Wayfarer, published in 1919 then go to the site here:  www.cyclingnorthwales.co.uk/pages/wayfarer.htm#home     When I accessed this address it did have a warning that it may not be a safe site, but it is OK to use.  But many of the photographs with it are missing !
