I came across this old photograph (not a very good one, sadly), taken by Charlie of his good friend Tom Idle carrying his bike across a footbridge on one of their two epic visits to cross Ashop Head in Derbyshire.   Amongst other material left by Charlie and inherited by me are several black and white photo albums, and towards the end of this year (2017) I shall be scanning some of the better pics into this website, along with the stories which I will by then be publishing on this website as we come to the end of Charlie’s journals, as opposed to stories.
